Our Mission
Our mission is to provide high quality, education-based living facilities to LGBTQIA+ individuals with safe housing and supportive structured-living conditions that serve as a transitional environment between support services and mainstream society within a supportive community environment in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Why Structured Living Matters
Structured living matters because recovery is not built on intention alone — it is built on consistency, accountability, and community. A stable daily routine, clear expectations, and supportive peer relationships create an environment where individuals can focus on healing without the chaos or triggers that often lead to relapse. By combining structure with compassion in an affirming LGBTQ+ environment, residents gain the stability needed to rebuild confidence, develop life skills, and move toward lasting independence.

Our program provides structured housing, recovery accountability, and life-building resources to help residents thrive.

Employment & Education Support
Resume development, job placement assistance, financial literacy, and career planning.

Safe & Structured Housing
Supportive, affirming living environment with clear expectations and accountability.

Recovery & Wellness Services
WRAP planning, peer mentorship, therapy referrals, 12-step and alternative recovery support.
Our Founder
Jules Mackenzie Hughes
Jules Mackenzie Hughes is the Founder and President of Metamorphosis Unlimited. This organization is based on her own life experiences as a trans woman who struggled withsubstance abuse disorder. Ms. Hughes knew at the age of five that she is transgender and was unable to address this until the age of forty-seven when she entered in-patienttreatment.As a result of this experience, Ms. Hughes knows what it is like to self-medicate because of the way one feels when being in a body that does not feel right, while living in a worldwhere it’s difficult to talk about it.
Ms. Hughes knows what it is like to feel prejudice, discrimination, and belittlement, but she still possesses the courage and self-esteem toovercome the obstacles and barriers which one faces publicly as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Through these experiences, she is committed to and works directly withLGBTQIA+ individuals. Ms. Hughes knows firsthand the commitment, strength, and discipline it takes to stay in recovery.Over the years, Ms. Hughes stayed at many treatment centers that she would not want anyone to have to experience or endure. Ms. Hughes knows the importance of havingprofessionals with lived experiences serving those who are most vulnerable. Where most individuals experience neglect,
